Branding for Flightcontrol
Flightcontrol made cloud infrastructure easy. We made it exciting.

Flightcontrol is a YC-backed cloud platform that brings PaaS-level ease to AWS, while keeping the infrastructure in the customer's own account.
Cloud infrastructure isn’t the sexiest part of a developer’s job. So instead of centering the infrastructure, we centered the people building with it. We borrowed the clouds and went beyond, all the way into space.
The logo grounds the identity in one simple mark. We had the F and C carry each other, emulating the hull of a ship.
Logo aspirationWhen we say spaceship, we actually mean the hull of the CEO's Harmon Rocket. Still a good start.
Piece by piece, we assembled the Flightcontrol identity into something playful and unmistakably its own. From cockpit-inspired frames to hand-drawn sketches and subtle motion, every detail turns the space theme into a system.
Skies and spaceshipsA cotton-candy sky and almost toy-like spaceships became the foundation of the brand. Every developer's daydream.
IllustrationsCustom illustrations glued the brand together across website and product.
User InterfaceA brand is only as strong as how well it translates into the product. We inverted the script and designed the brand with the product at its core.
ColorsLess colors. More atmosphere. Rich backgrounds become part of the palette, complemented by blue and white.
TypographySporty Youth brings the energy. Neue Montreal brings the clarity. Both make for a robust UI.
A true takeoff for its industry, Flightcontrol balanced technical excellence with user-centricity. The brand, like the people behind it, had personality to spare. That's why it was easy to adapt across rigid applications and playful ones.
MerchReact Miami was the perfect chance to test the brand beyond the screen. The final design brought Flightcontrol's playful energy and ambition together.
By putting developers at the center, building an identity around their experience and designing a system that continues to grow, we turned Flightcontrol into a brand that earns its authority without compromising on personality and user experience.

Flightcontrol x Overnice
We started with Flightcontrol when all they had was a name and a first MVP. What began with brand, product and launch grew into a long-standing partnership, eventually taking us into their next chapter as Ravion.
More from Flightcontrol
We gave Flightcontrol a full Rebrand(Just seen) and Product design and stuck around ever since. We've also helped them turn the page with Ravion.
